When he's not busy attacking space, Elon Musk is at the helm of Tesla, the world's most disruptive car company. In 2013, he started the Tesla Store, an operation meant to do away with the hassle of the car dealership. Now, he's come up with an even better idea. Musk unveiled this to the crowd on Tesla's July 28th press conference:
This subscription model seems like a huge step forward for the auto industry, and it will be interesting to see how big manufacturers like Ford and Toyota react. I'm sure they'll be playing copycat soon enough.
